Love and Tea and Tia

Hi loves,

Sometimes you just need a hot cup of tea, you know?

Let me explain. If you’re anything like me, you sometimes get a little worked up about things. For example, I went on a great date this weekend. And when I say great, I mean OMG-this-could-be-the-real-thing stellar. (Of course, if you’re anything like me, you think that about all the guys.) He opened doors for me! He didn’t hog the conversation! He likes green tea! He bought dinner, but let me buy dessert! (Hey, I’m a modern woman.) But it’s Tuesday and he hasn’t called. What is up with that?

The only antidote, of course, is relaxing with a nice cup of tea. Luckily, that’s the one thing in life that calms me down. I can brew a steaming cup of organic loose tea, grab a good book, and try to ignore my phone, for a little while.

When I really need to relax after a long day of being impatient with the world, I brew a pot of one of my favorites: Bohemian Passion Oolong Tea. I mentioned this to Mr. Stellar on our date and he started to argue with me about how long to steep it. He said you should brew one tablespoon of loose leaf tea per every six ounces of water for up to five minutes. But I said who can wait that long? I informed him that oolong tea only takes a minute or two to steep, and it’s not just because I’m so impatient either. Of course, being a gentleman, he let me win this argument. (Hey, I’m not that much of a modern woman.) I told you it was a good date.

I’ll let you know when he calls!

OX and Tea,

Tia
