Never Underestimate the Power of Being Stubborn

Hi Loves,

You know, tea has gotten me quite a few dates. No, really.

A few months ago, I was shopping at my local farmers’ market, stocking up on beautiful vegetables, spring flowers, and of course, my favorite local organic tea. It was a particularly crowded Saturday, and you know how I am about being patient. I calmly, and with a smile, elbowed my way into my friendly organic tea vendor’s booth and reached for the last box of this special blend of organic loose tea. But it wouldn’t budge! Someone else was trying to grab that last box. MY last box.

When I looked up to see who would dare try to deprive me of my calming, soothing, very necessary-for-my-sanity tea, I met two of the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen. It didn’t hurt that they were attached to broad shoulders and six feet of hunka-hunka burning love. I didn’t let go and neither did he! I pulled at the box; he pulled back. I was shocked. Who did this (incredibly good looking) man think he was?

Before we came to blows, our lovely organic tea vendor rescued us by restocking the booth, but by that time I knew that this wouldn’t be the last time I’d see my fellow tea lover. We paid and left the booth and he promptly asked me out for the next weekend–to a local shop that specializes in exotic, organic tea of course.

Me and Mr. Tea Lover  had a lot of fun that summer, and while he wasn’t The One, we’re still good friends.  I’m sure it was because tea brought us together!

(Still no call from the Great Tea Date this weekend. Boo.)

OX and Tea,

Tia
