I Heart Tea. Tea Hearts Me.

Hi Loves,

How do I love tea? Let me count the ways. All this talk of love and tea has made me think about my heart. Not just my current crush or long-term romantic goals, but the old ticker beating away in my chest. And you know what? The natural health benefits of tea can be good for your heart!

Here’s how:

1. Black tea helps arteries expand and relax, doing its part to ward off strokes. But be careful! Some research has shown that adding milk totally negates these benefits.

2. Tea, too, especially black tea, can lower your cholesterol. And we all know how good that is for you.

3. A Harvard study showed that those who had 1-2 cups of black tea a day reduced their chances of a heart attack by 44%!

4. With all the anti-inflammatory properties of tea and all the antioxidants we know and love, there’s no surprise tea does a body good. Don’t forget to head for organic loose tea whenever you can.

With a healthy diet, exercise, and a nice cuppa hot tea everyday, I know I’m on the right path to keeping my good ole heart healthy and strong. Now, if I can just figure out my love life, we’ll be all set.
