Love Thyself, Love the Earth with Organic Tea
Hi Loves,
It’s time we show Mother Earth a little love–and ourselves, too. How do we do that? By starting small, with your daily cup of tea.
As Teato reminded us a few weeks ago, tea leaves are just like any other fruit or vegetable. So it totally matters what farmers spray all over them in order to increase crops and profits. Pesticides that leech into the ground can contaminate water supplies and damage the soil so that little can grow there once the tea crop has been exhausted. Yes, we all love our steaming cups of hot tea, but at what price?
How can we do that to Mother Earth? And what about how those pesticides affect our own health? It’s time to show ourselves some love with organic tea.
Organic tea is grown under more humane circumstances–both for Mother Earth and those who harvest the tea leaves. With better agricultural products like natural fertilizers and pesticides, not to mention better working conditions, wages, and benefits, organic tea is just full of LOVE. Just by asking for and buying organic tea, you can have a direct effect on how companies take care of Mother Earth. If you don’t buy the products that help to pollute the planet, then those companies don’t have the funds to keep polluting. You might think that your contribution is too small to count, but it’s not! Convince two friends to join you. Then they can convince two more people and so on and so on. Every little bit counts.
Even if you don’t think you can change the world, using organic tea, especially the loose leaf variety, can really do a body better. No pesticides. Fresher taste. No worries about becoming some kind of mutant because of all the additives, preservatives, and chemicals. What’s not to love? Treat your body like the temple it is and make a change. Show the world and yourself some love by only buying, using, and drinking organic tea. Any variety will do!
OX and Tea,
Tia
