Tea Advice: Financial Aid Needed in the Worst Way

I was not always a tea master. I once was a young tea student. I once lived only on pizza and thought I never needed sleep. I wanted to rebel against the Man. I was not concerned with my health, thinking I could live forever (even without the health benefits of green tea and the rest of the teas). I once had to make tea with the loose leaves that I picked myself, because I could not afford to buy them. So I know what it is like to be low on funds.
I know times are hard economically right now. Many of my students cannot afford to buy new tea every day. I will share with you the piece of tea advice that I share with them when times are hard. Are you ready to gain some tea wisdom?
It’s actually not a secret. But thank you for clicking to see. I shall still tell you , for it is actually quite wise. The secret to getting more tea out of your tea is this:
Use your tea bag more than once.
That’s right. What no one has ever told you is that you can actually get a perfectly good second cup of tea out of each tea bag. As long as you remember not to oversteep the first cup (which leads to a more bitter cup of tea anyway, not a stronger one like so many young tea drinkers think), there should be plenty of potency left for a second cup. Some say it will have a bit less caffeine, though that theory is under some dispute.
So once you’ve brewed that first cup of delicious tea, set the tea bag aside, and save it. When you’re ready for a second cup, use it again. No need to tear open another, and waste precious tea leaves. Go back for more.
if you’re wise with your finances, like I am, perhaps you will be a true Tea master one day. And you will be able to come visit me at my Tea Temple. But bring that extra money, for my tea, while delicious, certainly isn’t free. As my tea students will certainly tell you.
