The Great Tea Date, Part Deux
Hi Loves,
So, if you haven’t been keeping up, I went on a great date last weekend. (He loves tea, too!) But he was very slow in calling me back. Of course that sent my mind racing. What is he thinking? Is he going to call ever? Did he have a good time, too?
But I’m happy to say he called!!! (Finally, the dork.) Of course, I was all cool on the phone with him. It went something like this:
“Oh hi, Mr. Tea.”
“Hi Tia. How are you?”
“Oh great. Busy, busy, busy! I’ve hardly had time to think since this weekend!”
“I hope I’m not bothering you.”
“Not at all, just sitting down with a nice cup of Lemon and Roses Rooibos Tea.”
“Sounds good,” he said…
(And I promise, it got much more interesting after that.)
As soon as we got over the initial awkwardness of the post-date phone call, we really hit it off, just like we did on our first date. He mentioned that he’d just bought his mother (awwww!) a selection of Rooibos Tea because it was her favorite color, red. I said I really liked the loose leaf varieties and he agreed that it was really the only way to drink it. (Score!) I also reminded him about the amazing health benefits from antioxidants in Rooibos Tea that really do a body good. Then he said something kinda cute and scandalous that I’m not going to share with you. But! We then made plans for dinner and a movie. Not ground breaking social planning skills here, I have to say, but I reminded him that The Darjeelingtea lovers Express is playing at the $2 movie theater in town and we both decided it was a fitting show for us to share.
OX and Tea,
Tia
