Hi Loves,

I’m lucky to have a job that let’s me work from home. There’s nothing like getting a mountain of work done while still in your PJs. And in the comfort of my own home office, I can head back to the kettle for cup after cup of hot tea, and no one’s there to raise an eyebrow.

So today, as I headed out for a walk around the block (gotta switch to decaf) and to grab a sandwich for lunch, I had an interesting encounter. As you can guess, it involved tea. And another interesting gentleman.

Around the corner from my apartment, there’s a great coffee and tea shop that carries a great selection of teas from around the world. I stopped in to see what was new, and the friendly proprietor, Ralphy, was talking about a new herbal tea he started carrying. Of course I headed over to him and inserted myself into the conversation. And Ralphy just so happened to be talking to a very nice looking man–tall, dark, with cute Clark Kent style glasses. (I have a thing for nerdy looking boys!)

When I walked over, Ralphy greeted me and introduced me to Mr. Kent and we started talking about how great the new herbal teas were. I said I was in dire need of an decaf herbal blend because I was practically buzzing with all the caffeinated tea I’d had that morning. Mr. Kent said he was a particular fan of herbal loose leaf tea for that very reason. And he slyly let it slip that he was planning to visit a new tea shop later in the weekend, asking me to join him! He asked me out right in front of Ralphy!

What to do now, tea loves? I’m looking forward to my date with Mr. GTD tonight, but curious too to learn more about Mr. Kent. Ah, what a lovely problem to have, when you think about it. I’ll keep you posted!
