Isn't tea pretty in all it's forms? And delicious!

Isn't tea pretty? In all its forms!

Hey tea buddies;

I was just checking my bank balance online (and not liking what I see, I don’t mind saying! lol) and it occurred to me that I don’t think I’ve let you in on one of my ultimate tea secrets. I use it every day, and it seems only fair that I share my tea knowledge with you.

Times are tough, right? The price of everything is going up, including tea in some places. And since tea is not a luxury but a necessity, but gas in your tank is too, you have to find someplace where we can save a bit. So here’s a little something to help you through the “economic downturn.”

Hello again tea lovers;

As you may know, Teato adores the tea. Almost as much as he loves the ladies. (On some days, he prefers tea a little bit more–it just depends.) And when I can, I bring the two together as much as possible. For what makes a woman’s heart grow warmer for you than a steaming cup of a rich white tea like rose garden blend? (if she loves roses, why would she not love a cup of rose garden? My logic has a simple beauty you can’t argue, no?)

But as you have certainly read before, the tea must not be steeped for too long. The perfect cup of tea must be brewed just so. So how to smother my gorgeous companion with attention while still making sure the tea is as perfect as she is? It’s actually quite simple. Techonology to the rescue!

Tea Students.

I was not always a tea master. I once was a young tea student. I once lived only on pizza and thought I never needed sleep. I wanted to rebel against the Man. I was not concerned with my health, thinking I could live forever (even without the health benefits of green tea and the rest of the teas).  I once had to make tea with the loose leaves that I picked myself, because I could not afford to buy them. So I know what it is like to be low on funds.

I know times are hard economically right now. Many of my students cannot afford to buy new tea every day. I will share with you the piece of tea advice that I share with them when times are hard. Are you ready to gain some tea wisdom?

Iced Tea—it’s what’s for dinner.

All right, so that slogan has already been taken; but no one will argue that in this hot weather, it is important to have a nice glass of iced tea. It cools the body while stimulating the mind. It will certainly be the most popular drink of choice at all your summer shindigs.

Chances are that you’ve had a glass of iced tea before. We are not on Mars. But I know good tea—iced or otherwise—and it is my whim to alert you to some of my favorite ways of brewing come delicious iced tea.

Greetings, Tea Students.

Put down your steaming cups of tea for one second and pay attention. The information I am about to impart unto you goes beyond telling you what a tea infuser is, or how green tea helps fight cancer. I don’t want you to spit your Lung Ching across the room in shock.

Are you ready?

Hi Loves,

Oh man, I’ve got it bad. And there’s only one thing that can cure my aching crush. My favorite tea ritual.

So, you remember how Mr. Great Tea Date didn’t call for so long? And then he did? And now we’re going out this weekend, on Saturday? Well, now you’re caught up. All this week we’ve been emailing and texting and talking on the phone (and some how getting work done, too) and as a result, I’ve totally got a major crush on him.

When this happens, my brain goes haywire. All I can do is ask a million questions. What’s going to happen? Does he like me back? Are we soul mates? What should I wear?

But I have to play it cool. And the best way I know how to relax, is to brew a pot of tea. Here’s what I do.

Hi Loves,

You know what time it is? It’s time for a tea party!

Every year about this time, I realize that I haven’t seen some of my friends in weeks and weeks. Why? Because the beginning of Fall seems to be one of the busiest times of the year! It’s like we all forgot how to work and be productive after a summer of sipping iced tea and it’s all catching up with us. So I like to plan an fun tea party for me and my friends so we can catch up on who’s dating who, who’s NOT dating who, and what’s on the romantic horizon. Oh, and we’ll probably talk about work, too, but only after we’ve covered the more important stuff.

So, this year, I’m really going to make it special.

Love and Tea and Tia

Hi loves,

Sometimes you just need a hot cup of tea, you know?

Let me explain. If you’re anything like me, you sometimes get a little worked up about things. For example, I went on a great date this weekend. And when I say great, I mean OMG-this-could-be-the-real-thing stellar. (Of course, if you’re anything like me, you think that about all the guys.) He opened doors for me! He didn’t hog the conversation! He likes green tea! He bought dinner, but let me buy dessert! (Hey, I’m a modern woman.) But it’s Tuesday and he hasn’t called. What is up with that?

Hey guys! I know we tea lovers like to talk about the perfect way to make tea, and how you should always use loose leaf tea, and all that jazz. Obviously, we are bigtime tea drinkers and want it to be perfect. And we want your cup of tea to be perfect too!

But the reality might be that you can’t always use loose leaf tea. That your supermarket doesn’t carry organic tea. That your tea infuser broke. Whatever the reason, sometimes you have to improvise. And we understand!

The Matcha Game

What’s up, you guys? I’ve got up to the minute tea information for you! The other day, instead of my usual cup of organic oolong tea, I met up with some friends and we had a tea ceremony. We had a special green tea I’d never had before, called matcha tea. It was delicious and super healthy, and I knew you would want to know all about it.

Matcha green tea is a traditional tea from Japan. If you’re ever in Japan and involved in a formal tea ceremony, chances are you’re going to be served matcha. But it’s popular all over the world as well—it may be the most popular green tea on the market today.
