Making tea in a coffee press
Season’s greetings, lovers of tea!
The Season of Giving is over. Teato has given many beautiful gifts to many beautiful women this Christmas, but he has also received some wonderful presents. And while some lovely and generous ladies know my tastes extremely well (I love delicious tea; this is no surprise to loyal readers) others seem to know very little about me.
One lovely girl actually gave me a coffee press for Christmas. A coffee press! It’s as if we are total strangers! But all is not lost. I will make the best of it, and pass on this important tea lesson to you. You can make tea with a coffee press — in fact, it’s a great way to brew loose leaf tea, which as you know, is far superior to teabags.

Hey there, Tea People!
Are you having fun reading about tea? The health benefits of tea, the different kinds of loose teas, how long to leave your tea bags in—all that stuff? Those guys seem to know what they’re talking about. I’d listen to them.
I’ve got a little something different for you. Those other stuffed shirts might like to talk about how tea is made, and the difference between white tea and black tea, loose leaf tea vs. tea bags, or whatever. Well, all I care about is how good the tea tastes.
I’m not saying hot tea isn’t already delicious. I like it as much as the next girl, of course. But sometimes, I want a little something extra. So today I’m going to tell you a little bit about something I put into my tea sometimes—milk.

Iced Tea—it’s what’s for dinner.
All right, so that slogan has already been taken; but no one will argue that in this hot weather, it is important to have a nice glass of iced tea. It cools the body while stimulating the mind. It will certainly be the most popular drink of choice at all your summer shindigs.
Chances are that you’ve had a glass of iced tea before. We are not on Mars. But I know good tea—iced or otherwise—and it is my whim to alert you to some of my favorite ways of brewing come delicious iced tea.

Hi Loves,
Is it Friday yet? No? Why Not? Let’s just say that Ms. Tia is anxious for the weekend to get here already because she has big plans with Mr. Great Tea Date! Surprise, surprise: it involves tea.
Friday night, Mr. GTD is coming over so I can show off my grand culinary talents. I love to cook, especially using organic vegetables and meats. I’m thankful everyday that we have such a wonderful farmers’ market nearby. So I asked my local organic tea vendor how I could use tea in more edible, as opposed to drinkable, ways. You won’t believe what he had to say!

Hi Loves,
Oh man, I’ve got it bad. And there’s only one thing that can cure my aching crush. My favorite tea ritual.
So, you remember how Mr. Great Tea Date didn’t call for so long? And then he did? And now we’re going out this weekend, on Saturday? Well, now you’re caught up. All this week we’ve been emailing and texting and talking on the phone (and some how getting work done, too) and as a result, I’ve totally got a major crush on him.
When this happens, my brain goes haywire. All I can do is ask a million questions. What’s going to happen? Does he like me back? Are we soul mates? What should I wear?
But I have to play it cool. And the best way I know how to relax, is to brew a pot of tea. Here’s what I do.

Hey guys! I know we tea lovers like to talk about the perfect way to make tea, and how you should always use loose leaf tea, and all that jazz. Obviously, we are bigtime tea drinkers and want it to be perfect. And we want your cup of tea to be perfect too!
But the reality might be that you can’t always use loose leaf tea. That your supermarket doesn’t carry organic tea. That your tea infuser broke. Whatever the reason, sometimes you have to improvise. And we understand!

Teato has many loves. Sunsets. Beautiful Women. Tea. And when it comes time to give someone a present, Teato gives them…tea. What else? It is the embodiment of beauty, in tiny little leaves.
But if you want to bestow the gift of tea on someone special, you must know their heart. Here are a few suggestions on what kind of tea to give those close to you:
Choosing Tea for a Friend
If you are just beginning on your friendship journey, go with a sampler — something with a variety of tea. That way they can find the path to loving tea, and you, themselves. Whether that path is through black tea, green tea, or herbal tea, they can be their own guide.

Hey you guys! As you know, I love tea. I love the smell of tea, the look of tea, and of course, I love the taste. Iced tea in the summer, hot tea in the winter, I’m never without a nice cup of tea, and a steaming teapot somewhere nearby. I’m a tea freak or something!
But hang on there—did you catch that I said I like the “look” of tea? Did you wonder that that meant? You should! Of course, I love the way tea leaves look before you throw them in the pot. They’re so…natural and crispy, and you can almost literally see how good they are for you! But I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about how much I love looking at them AFTER you’ve made your tea. In fact, I have started checking into telling fortunes based on looking at tea leaves. Cool, huh?

Hey people! There’s a lot of press about there about how healthy tea is, listing off all the health benefits, but let’s never forget the best reason to drink tea—it tastes delicious!
So with that in mind, I wanted to tell you guys about alternatives to boring old sugar. Most people don’t know that there are choices—they think that if you want your tea sweeter, sugar is all that’s out there. Not true! So how about these alternatives?

Recently I told you guys about the ins and outs of adding milk to your tea. But as everybody knows, there’s a lot more options than that! For many years, tea makers have added fruit and herbs to their tea blends. But sometimes, you want to add a little something yourself. Well I’ve got a couple of tea tips to help you out.
Naturally, there’s no limit to what you can put into a cup of tea. Cinnamon, mint, blueberries, strawberries…you name it—the possibilities are endless. So I’m just going to stick with the most common ones for today.
