An open letter from our Amanzi Family...
Here at Amanzi, we’ve been tea drinkers since as far back as we can remember. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, tea was always a big part of our culture and diet. 


In 2006 we moved to Miami and decided to open our own business - we just weren’t sure what. One day we noticed that there was nowhere to buy decent tea and inspiration struck!

We leased a small cart in the Dadeland Mall and began selling tea. We got an explosive response—there was definitely something “hot brewing.” The business grew fast, and it wasn’t very long before we needed more space to take it to where we really envisioned it could go.

In August 2007 we opened our first store in Greenville, SC, introducing our first “cocktail style” Tea Bar as its feature centerpiece. Just before Christmas in 2008, we opened our first store in NYC in Tribeca. We serve over 100 hot and iced teas, our signature alcohol-free cocktails, and all kinds of tasty tea-based frappes, lattes, and our special bubble teas—the world of teas has never been so much fun! Today our Tea Bar is a real treat for old-school and new tea drinkers alike.

Our mission here at Amanzi is to bring a fresh, hip, and contemporary flare to a traditionally formal and serene experience. Tea is becoming increasingly popular due to its many health benefits and the extensive range of flavors. It has a broad palette spectrum that ranges from traditional—black, oolong, green, white teas, not to mention herbal teas like Rooibos and Yerba Mate—to the countless combinations of flavored teas. One thing is for sure; our tea selection has something to please even the biggest skeptic.
